At Seaside, We Believe Gymnastics is About So Much More
At Seaside Training Center, we believe gymnastics is about so much more than learning cartwheels and back handsprings. Every class is an opportunity for children to build confidence, overcome challenges, and discover what they're capable of.
As gymnasts learn new skills, they're also developing strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. Just as importantly, they're learning life skills that will serve them well far beyond the gym—perseverance, responsibility, respect, goal setting, and the confidence to keep trying when something feels difficult.
Every child progresses at their own pace, and we're here to encourage, celebrate, and guide them every step of the way. Whether they're mastering their very first forward roll or working toward more advanced skills, each accomplishment helps them grow stronger, more confident, and ready to chart their own course.
Our goal is simple: to create a positive environment where children feel supported, challenged, and excited to come to class each week.

Choosing the right activity for your child is an important decision, which is why we offer a complimentary trial class for every new student.
Meet our coaches, tour our facility, experience a class, and see why so many families call Seaside home. Every new trial gymnast also receives a special welcome gift.

Gymnastics is one of the most complete activities a child can participate in. It develops athletic ability while also building confidence, character, and lifelong skills that benefit children both inside and. outside the gym.
Gymnastics builds total-body strength while improving flexibility, coordination, balance, agility, and body awareness. These skills create a strong foundation not only for gymnastics but for success in nearly every other sport and physical activity.
There's nothing quite like watching a child accomplish something they once thought was impossible. Every new skill, no matter how big or small, helps children believe in themselves and gain the confidence to take on new challenges.
Learning gymnastics takes patience, practice, and determination. Along the way, children develop important habits like listening, following directions, working toward goals, and understanding that success comes through consistent effort.
Our classes provide a welcoming environment where children encourage one another, celebrate successes together, and build friendships that often last well beyond the gym.
The lessons learned through gymnastics extend far beyond the equipment. Children leave each class with greater confidence, resilience, responsibility, and a willingness to keep learning—qualities that help them succeed in school, sports, and everyday life.
At Seaside Training Center, we're passionate about helping every child discover their strengths, celebrate their progress, and enjoy the journey. We believe every class is another opportunity to build confidence, make new friends, and continue charting their own course.
Get Ready for the Highlight of the Year — Our Annual Spring Recital!
The countdown is on for our favorite event of the year! Our Annual Spring Showcase! This is the moment every recreational gymnast has been working toward, where months of hard work, determination, and new skills come together for an unforgettable performance.
Every Recreational gymnast takes the floor to show family and friends just how far they've come. It's a day filled with exciting routines, great music, incredible accomplishments, and memories your family will treasure for years to come.
Participation is required for all Recreational classes, including Guppies, Goldfish, Lionfish, Tiger Sharks, Hammer Sharks, Great White Sharks, Megalodons, Krakens (Parkour), and Mako Sharks (After-School). *Dolphins (Tumbling) are not required to participate but are always welcome to join the celebration!*
Held each April or May, our themed Spring Showcase transforms the gym into an exciting celebration where every child has the opportunity to perform, build confidence, and shine in front of a crowd of family and friends cheering them on every step of the way.
The celebration doesn't end when the routines are over! Every gymnast is recognized for their hard work during our awards ceremony, where they step onto the podium, celebrate their accomplishments, and enjoy a moment they'll never forget.
The best part? Everyone is invited! There is no limit to the number of family members and friends who can come celebrate your gymnast's big day.
Recital information is released each January, so stay tuned—you won't want to miss Seaside's biggest celebration of the year!
For more information, please visit the Gym Recital tab.

Getting ready for class is easy!
Girls: A leotard is recommended, but any comfortable athletic clothing is perfectly fine. Please avoid clothing with zippers, buttons, or snaps. Elastic-waist shorts or leggings with a fitted T-shirt work great.
Boys: A T-shirt and athletic shorts with an elastic waistband are recommended.

If you're joining us for the first time, we recommend arriving about 5 minutes early.
This gives you time to:
Returning gymnasts should also plan to arrive a few minutes early. Please wait in the Parent Viewing Area until your child's class and name are called.
If you don't hear your child's name, stop by the Hospitality Desk, we're always happy to help!
From time to time, you may also be asked to review updated policies to keep your gymnast actively enrolled.

The only thing your child needs is a reusable, leak-proof water bottle with a secure lid (no straws, please).
We have a water cooler available for refills throughout the day, but we no longer provide disposable cups.
That's it! We'll take care of the rest, all your gymnast needs to bring is a positive attitude and a smile. We'll handle the fun from there!

Our goal is to place every child in the program where they'll have the safest, most successful, and most enjoyable experience.
We proudly offer co-ed Preschool Gymnastics, Tumbling, and Parkour, and we love watching boys thrive in those programs. Once children reach our recreational level, gymnastics becomes much more event-specific, which is why our recreational gymnastics program follows the Girls' Artistic Gymnastics curriculum.
Not quite!
While both are gymnastics, Boys' Artistic Gymnastics and Girls' Artistic Gymnastics are actually two different Olympic disciplines with different equipment, skill progressions, and coaching techniques.
Girls' Artistic Gymnastics includes:
Boys' Artistic Gymnastics includes:
As athletes progress, the training becomes very different, requiring specialized equipment and coaching for each discipline.
Our preschool classes focus on developing the building blocks every young athlete needs, including:
At this age, children are learning through movement and play, not training specific Olympic events, making a co-ed environment the perfect fit.
The adventure doesn't stop!
Many boys continue into our Tumbling or Parkour programs, where they build strength, agility, coordination, body control, and confidence in a fun, high-energy environment.
These programs provide an excellent foundation for almost every sport while keeping kids active and challenged.
Although many beginner skills look similar, boys' and girls' gymnastics quickly follow different paths.
Girls' gymnastics emphasizes balance beam, uneven bars, flexibility, and dance elements, while boys' gymnastics focuses more on upper-body strength and apparatus like rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, and high bar.
Because the techniques, progressions, and equipment differ, we believe children learn best in programs designed specifically for their discipline.
Offering a quality boys' gymnastics program requires specialized equipment, coaches trained specifically in Boys' Artistic Gymnastics, and a curriculum designed around the six men's events.
Rather than offering a program that doesn't meet those standards, we've chosen to focus on providing exceptional experiences in the programs we're fully equipped to teach.
Absolutely!
Gymnastics is one of the best foundations for athletic development and helps boys build:
That's why we're proud to offer co-ed Preschool Gymnastics, Tumbling, and Parkour for boys of all skill levels.
Although both are incredible sports, they are designed very differently.

Both disciplines challenge athletes in unique ways and provide outstanding physical and personal development.
